I was frustrated. Nothing but brake lights for miles. None of the radio stations had reported anything, so there we sat... for hours. It was during those long waits in traffic that this website was born: an information portal to help us, the commuters.
My wife and I had recently started commuting together to our jobs in Orange County. It started simple enough: a single page with live traffic maps, radio stations, and access to the California Highway Patrol logs.
Eventually we added traffic cameras, news feeds, fun things to do and pictures. I love how pictures come out along Ortega Highway. You may not believe this, but the sunset photo of the Elsinore Valley on this site was taken at about 50 mph (my wife was driving, I promise) just as we rounded the last corner out of the valley.
